Sprayponics for tomato is a method invented by Kaneko Seeds Co., Ltd.
In the conventional tomato cultivation, tomato plants grow vegetatively and dense leaves suppress the light intensity. It causes harvest loss and low quality fruits.
In Sprayponics for tomato system, culture liquid is directly sprayed to the roots of tomato plants.
The system can control the contents of culture liquid. The amount of nitrogen (N) can be controlled. It makes the plants grow more reproductively. The method is called “quantitative fertilization control method.”
The leaves of plants become slim and the light intensity can be optimal. It makes leaf area index (LAI) optimal for tomato fruit growth.
The number of plants per 10a can be increased to more than 3,500 and more tomato fruits can be harvested.
High quality tomato fruits are harvested all year round. Long stage with high-wire induction method is recommended.
